1. ScaDS Doktorandenseminar / PI-Meeting
From the 7th til 8th of January 2016 our first ScaDS-PhD-seminar is taking place in Machern nearby Leipzig.
Within the seminar the PhD-Candidates from ScaDS or associated to ScaDS will get the opportunity to present their research question and current state of work. The students will get feedback from other PhD-Students as well as from advising Professors/Post-Docs out of ScaDS.
In the afternoon of the first day, a meeting of the Principal Investigators of ScaDS is taking place.
We had very good presentations by all our PhD candidates in a nice room within a cosy old castle of Machern. Outside we had strong winter temperature, blue sky and sun so that the walk through the Schlosspark Machern was also very nice. At the end of our Seminar all participants had three votes to select the best speaker of the seminar.
We congratulate Nico Hoffmann from Dresden for winning the "ScaDS Best-Speaker-Award 2016". The award includes a book of his own choice.
