Using Science to Solve (Cyber)Crime - Case Studies in Forensic Computing
Digital evidence is a growing concern to law enforcement since it
behaves slightly different to classical physical evidence and appears on
almost every crime scene today. We present a couple of case studies that
show the emergence, importance and interpretation of digital evidence.
We also reflect on the role that computing science plays in this context.
Felix Freiling is professor of computer science at
Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. His research
interests are in offensive cybercrime and computer security, and the
foundations of digital forensic science.
All people interested in this fascinating topic are cordially invited.
